There are many professions in which pay and opportunities for promotions are tied to degree completion. For example, the pay scale for many government jobs is based on level of degree. Another example; Public school teachers who have master's degrees receive a higher rate of pay than those with bachelor's degrees. Many teachers choose to pursue accredited online degrees as a way of moving ahead professionally, intellectually and in terms of pay. No matter what field you are in, earning an advanced degree is likely to benefit you.

Most employers look favorably upon employees who actively seek educational opportunities. Keep in mind that there are many more entry-level jobs than there are jobs at the executive level. Even if you don't need a bachelors or master's degree to get your foot in the door, sometimes a degree is the leverage you need to start climbing the ladder. If you work for an organization that ties promotions to continuing education, it may be in your best interest to enroll in one of the available programs for accredited online degrees.
